It got a heck of a lot chillier today. Yesterday it was over 80 degrees out, and today I don't think it even got into the 60's. It was under 50 when I got home. Rainy, too. It reminded me of that old Guns 'n' Roses song "November Rain." I know, I know, it's still October. But I just couldn't help thinking about that sweet guitar riff at the end of the song. I was really surprised that they didn't have Axl freak out and start a bunch of fires.
Anyone out there use Yahoo!'s LAUNCHCast? I really like it, although the songs tend to take a while to buffer on my slow, ancient PC. That's definitely a pain if I'm having to skip a bunch of lousy songs on my personalized station.
Ah. Here we go: "Funky President" by James Brown.
People, People.
We gotta get over
Before we go under.
Good song. You might remember it if you spent much time in the casino on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I should break that game back out sometime. I'm looking forward to seeing what the next GTA game will look like. I can only assume that it will be for the PS3. I wonder what the setting will be. A Euro GTA would be cool, or maybe one that took place in a Texas-like setting. It would be even cooler if it was like a Grand Tour kind of thing, in which you could revisit all the original cities, as well as some new ones.
I'd really like to go to Vegas again sometime. What an awesome town. I've only been there once, for Matt's bachelor party, and the sheer enormity of the place just blew me away. There is so much to see and take in; I don't see how anyone could not have a good time. Next time, I'd really like to see a Cirque du Soleil show. Zumanity looks like it'd be a good one. I like to tell everyone that I know that whenever I get around to getting married that I'm going to have a Vegas wedding, but we all know I'd never be able to get away with that. :)
I swear, they've just stopped trying at Adult Swim. It's no wonder it hasn't become a separate network from Cartoon Network. 12 oz. Mouse? Are they seriously going to run yet another poorly drawn craptanza like this? They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel. I say ditch most of the comedy (Aqua Teen, Family Guy, Sealab, Birdman, and Robot Chicken can stay) and bring on more anime and action 'toons.
Man, Moby really sucks. I'd say his music sucks at least as much as that "Cathy" comic strip. And brother, that's saying something.
I've got two costume parties to go to next weekend. I'm looking forward to it. My costume should be easy to put together, yet effective. I am a little concerned that I'm supposed to find time to sleep and go to the Oklahoma game in between said parties, but I suppose some things just can't be helped. Why do I do it, you ask? Because
Some people call me Space Cowboy.
Some people call me the Gangster of Love.
Some people call me Maurice,
'Cause I speak with the pompetus of love.
LAUNCHCast rules.
